Carl Wallace
Fractional CFO
Carl Wallace is the founder of FluentCFO and brings over two decades of financial leadership to growth-stage companies. As a former Chief Credit Officer at Millennium Bank and Chief Credit/Risk Officer at SONA Bank, he has led multiple financial system implementations and secured significant debt placements for technology companies across the DC region.
Carl also founded Corpexpert, a firm specializing in technology commercialization, strategy, product development and the management of unique technologies with applications for the Department of Defense and commercial industries. He holds a BA in Management from National Louis University, an MPS in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, and is a veteran reservist of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Brad Johnson

Brad Johnson is an accomplished financial executive with more than 15 years of CPA experience and Big Four consulting leadership at Deloitte, EY, and KPMG. He has advised Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies on complex financial, compliance, and operational challenges. His background also includes roles in sales and lending, including portfolio management for government contractors at Parabilis, giving him a uniquely well-rounded perspective on how growing businesses operate and scale. Today, Brad provides strategic, tech-enabled fractional CFO support to companies in the $2–50M range, specializing in forecasting accuracy, cash-flow management, DCAA compliance, and profit-focused financial strategy. He partners with CEOs and founders to eliminate financial blind spots, strengthen decision-making, and position their organizations for growth, capital raises, or M&A.
Kristen Gauffreau

Kristen Gauffreau is a seasoned consultant in the GovCon space, specializing in government contracting, finance, accounting, strategic human resources, regulatory compliance, and operational optimization. With over 15 years of experience, she brings deep expertise in assisting small to medium-sized businesses in navigating the complexities of government contracting and compliance.
Her experience has culminated from working in Government contracting across all spectrums: working as an auditor within the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and within private industry both for and consulting for start-ups to multi-billion dollar enterprises. Kristen’s expertise is within indirect rate structures, forward pricing proposals, timekeeping compliance, and accounting system compliance. Her value add to clients is in her ability to provide strategic consulting across accounting, finance, contracts, and human resources departments. By integrating these strategic skills into operational optimization, she has transformed profitability, enhanced internal processes, and driven successful business outcomes and transformations for clients across all industries.
